About Flood Barrier USA

Flood Barrier USA focuses on flood protection for commercial property. Recent flood events all over the country have raised concerns among commercial property owners and managers who wish to be ready in case floodwaters should become a threat.

Traditional methods such as sandbags prove woefully inadequate for most scenarios. This forum presents and discusses the merits of new products in the market. Each building presents a different challenge and each opening may require a different type of flood barrier to protect it. Planning and designing a response plan is an important part of an effective flood mitigation strategy.

Flood Barrier USA promotes the protection of commercial property against flooding through a national program of awareness, education and responsible property management.

USACE studies conclude that dry flood proofing techniques are often the most cost effective methods of protecting commercial property, especially in urban areas. The National Flood Insurance Program identifies dry flood proofing as an effective method of reducing the threat of flooding and costs of insuring against damage.

Flood Barrier USA’s professional education programs help architects, structural engineers and building owners assess and manage flood threats through proper application of dry floodproofing techniques.
